Advisory Council Formation
The Observatory's Advisory Council is currently in the process of being established. This honorary body will serve as a pluralistic forum for dialogue, consultation, and strategic guidance, comprising highly-regarded specialists in the fields of neuroscience, neuroeducation, and neurodiversity.
The invitation is extended to professionals and researchers who wish to contribute their expertise and knowledge to strengthen the Observatory's mission: to generate, disseminate, and apply insights that promote an inclusive education that is evidence-based and sensitive to neurological diversity.
Requirements for Advisory Council Membership
Academic background and/or verifiable professional experience in neurosciences, neuroeducation, or related fields.
Recognized ethical and professional trajectory, with relevant contributions in their field.
Commitment to inclusion and the promotion of neurodiversity as a social and educational value.
Reasonable time availability to participate in consultative meetings and activities.
Ability to provide critical and constructive input for the continuous improvement of the Observatory's initiatives.

Members of the Advisory Council will join a collective endeavor aimed at enriching the Observatory's lines of action, providing strategic partnerships, and fostering the construction of a more just, inclusive, and socially aware society that values neurological diversity.
Regulations for the Call for Applications to Join the Advisory Board
Article 1. Purpose These regulations establish the basis, requirements, and procedures for the formation of the Advisory Board of the International Observatory of Neuroeducation and Neurodiversity. This is an honorary body tasked with providing strategic advice and guidance in the areas of neurosciences, neuroeducation, and neurodivergence.
Article 2. Nature of the Advisory Board The Advisory Board is an honorary, plural, and non-binding body composed of specialists with recognized expertise. Its purpose is to guide, advise, and strengthen the Observatory's mission through the contribution of knowledge, experience, and collaborative networks.
Article 3. Number of Members and Gender Parity The Advisory Board will consist of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 20 members. Gender parity will be promoted, ensuring that the composition of the Board reflects a balanced participation of women and men.
Article 4. Call for Applications The Call for Applications will be open to the general public and disseminated through the Observatory's official channels.
Interested individuals must submit their application within the deadlines and using the formats established in the call.
The Call for Applications will remain open from 00:01 hours on September 8, 2025, until all available seats on the Advisory Board have been filled or until a date determined by the Executive Board of the International Observatory of Neuroeducation and Neurodiversity.
Article 5. Eligibility Requirements Individuals who meet the following criteria may apply to become members of the Advisory Board: a) Possess proven academic background and/or professional experience in neurosciences, neuroeducation, inclusive education, mental health, or related fields. b) Enjoy ethical and professional recognition in their field. c) Demonstrate a commitment to promoting neurodiversity as a social and educational value. d) Have reasonable availability to participate in meetings, activities, and consultative processes. e) Submit a Letter of Motivation and an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Article 6. Selection Process The Selection Committee designated by the Observatory will evaluate the applications received based on the requirements and academic, professional, and personal merits, taking into account gender composition to ensure the established parity.
The process may include interviews or requests for supplementary documentation.
The decision of the Selection Committee shall be final and unappealable.
The Selection Committee for the formation of the first Advisory Board will be comprised of the members of the Institution's Executive Board.
Article 7. Term and Tenure Advisory Board members will serve for a term of three years, with the possibility of renewal for one additional term.
Membership on the Board may be terminated early by explicit resignation, failure to fulfill duties, or agreement of the Observatory.
Article 8. Rights of Members Advisory Board members shall have the right to: a) Participate with voice in the sessions and activities to which they are convened. b) Issue recommendations, opinions, and proposals on matters submitted for consultation. c) Be publicly acknowledged as members of the Advisory Board.
Article 9. Obligations of Members Advisory Board members commit to: a) Attend and actively participate in the convened meetings. b) Act ethically, objectively, and with respect for institutional values. c) Avoid any conflict of interest and declare potential related situations in a timely manner. d) Maintain the confidentiality of strategic information shared.
Article 10. Honorary Nature Participation in the Advisory Board is honorary, without financial remuneration. Representation expenses or travel allowances may be covered, provided they have been previously authorized by the Observatory.
Article 11. Unforeseen Circumstances Any situation not covered in these regulations will be resolved by the Selection Committee in coordination with the Observatory’s Directorate.
