Mexico Section of the International Observatory of Neuroeducation and Neurodiversity (ONN)

It is an honor to present the Mexico Section of the International Observatory of Neuroeducation and Neurodiversity (ONN), a pioneering and reference space dedicated to integrating scientific knowledge with educational, clinical, and social practice.

Headquartered in the city of Querétaro, Mexico, and under the representation and leadership of Ms. Nelly Montoya, our section was born with the firm purpose of transforming the landscape of education and human well-being in our country, promoting a culture of inclusion based on scientific evidence.

Who We Are

The International Observatory of Neuroeducation and Neurodiversity (observaneuro.com) is an interdisciplinary community that observes, investigates, and disseminates knowledge about the brain and learning processes. We believe deeply in an education that recognizes the greatness of every mind. We celebrate the diversity of forms of learning and embrace neurodivergences—such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia, among others—as unique expressions of creativity, sensitivity, and talent.

We know that true educational and social innovation is only possible when all voices are heard and all forms of learning are valued and supported.

Our Mission in Mexico

We seek to advance the understanding, application, and dissemination of neuroscience and neuroeducation in the Mexican context. Through rigorous research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and knowledge transfer, our goal is to empower teachers, administrators, health professionals, families, and students to build a more equitable and innovative society.

Our Fundamental Pillars

  1. Neurodiversity: We recognize and respect neurological variability as a natural, essential, and valuable part of the human condition.

  2. Neuroeducation: We translate advances in neuroscience into better pedagogical practices, designing more effective and inclusive learning environments.

  3. Interdisciplinary Science: We converge fields such as neuroscience, psychology, pedagogy, sociology, and technology to address cognitive diversity in a comprehensive manner.

  4. Equity and Social Model: We focus on transforming environments to reduce systemic barriers, always strengthening the capabilities and talents of all individuals.

What We Do From Our Querétaro Headquarters

  • Research and Analysis: We generate and systematize data on learning processes and neurological profiles to guide public policies and educational practices at a national level.

  • Training and Updating: We offer specialized courses, conferences, and resources to equip professionals with tools based on the science of learning and brain plasticity.

  • Community Creation (Networking): We build a bridge between academic knowledge, professional practice, and civil society, facilitating a support network and exchange of best practices throughout Mexico.
